In today’s competitive construction market, there are a variety of methods you can employ to get your job bid and completed. You can hire your own architect to make blueprints of your project, then solicit bids from contractors. Or, you can request each contractor to submit design ideas relating to your design needs.

However, these methods do nothing to insure that you will get the best value for your money. What you usually end up with are vast price differences in the bids you receive, and it may be difficult to determine from each bid exactly what you’re getting for your money. You may also leave yourself open for numerous change orders for items you thought were included in the job, but were not spelled out in your contract. These methods encourage unrealistic, low bids, cutting corners and omitting important details for your project. Most importantly, your best interests are not served.

A DESIGN/BUILD approach to building is just the opposite. Your interests and budget are the guiding forces throughout the project. First, we create a preliminary study of your project including a proposed layout. After your thorough review of this floor plan, we go on to the elevation review; when you are satisfied with how your project will look, we produce blueprints, exact specifications and product information h we have developed through our meetings together.

When the time comes to begin construction, you will have a comprehensive understanding of what will be done, with which materials and what it will cost. We make every effort to alert you to possible unknowns that may come along, such as structural issues that may need to be addressed or, in the case of new construction, water, ledge or other factors which may impact your budget. When we do come across these variables, we will present you with options to solve the problem and the costs associated with each solution.
